Mesidor PLLC Selects Sarah Weiner as Inaugural Mesidor Pierre-Louis Law Fellow and Future Associate

NEW YORK, NY — Mesidor PLLC proudly announces that Sarah Weiner — the firm’s law clerk and an incoming third-year student at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law — has been selected as the first Mesidor Pierre-Louis Law Fellow. In addition, Weiner has accepted an offer to return to the firm as an associate upon her graduation in 2026.

The fellowship — part of Mesidor PLLC’s Until We’re Obsolete initiative — is designed to identify and cultivate exceptional legal talent committed to advancing justice in employment discrimination law. Fellows receive mentorship, career development opportunities, and community engagement experience to prepare them to become transformative advocates for employees’ rights.

As part of this initiative, Mesidor PLLC launched Konbit 471 in April 2025, a fundraiser that has already raised more than $180,000 to support fellows pursuing careers in workers’ rights and social justice.

Sarah Weiner shared her passion for the work ahead:
“I am humbled and grateful to be the first-ever recipient of this fellowship. It has been incredible working at Mesidor PLLC this past year, and I look forward to continuing to grow this upcoming school year. With the fellowship’s support, I am broadening my advocacy skills through Cardozo’s Civil Rights Clinic and the Journal for Equal Rights and Social Justice. I look forward to bringing everything I learn back to Mesidor when I return next summer!”

Marjorie Mesidor, Founding Partner of Mesidor PLLC, explained why Sarah was chosen:

“Sarah Weiner was selected as the inaugural Mesidor Pierre-Louis Law Fellow for her exceptional academic record and deep commitment to social justice. Throughout her time at law school, she demonstrated a passion for advocating for marginalized communities, particularly through her pro bono work and involvement in legal aid clinics. The selection committee was confident that her dedication and scholarly rigor align perfectly with the fellowship’s mission to support emerging legal scholars who are poised to make a significant impact on the plaintiff-side employment law landscape.”

The Mesidor Pierre-Louis Law Fellowship is more than a scholarship — it is an investment in the future of justice. By equipping fellows with mentorship, resources, and opportunities, the program empowers law students to champion employees’ rights and combat workplace discrimination.

With her fellowship appointment and future associate role, Sarah Weiner exemplifies the fellowship’s mission: empowering the next generation of advocates to create workplaces free from discrimination and injustice.
